As anyone reading this review will testify it is quite nerve wracking choosing a damp specialist firm as all one reads about are cowboys and bad work etc. etc. We used Which Trusted trader. We looked at 3 firms and I am really glad to say we chose Assured Preservations. Assured Preservations were absolutely super at very step of the process from liaising with the office, visiting to undertake a survey , agreeing what we did and did not want , visiting and doing the work in 2 stages at our request. It was a very good price as well We had had building work 9 months before so we knew all about the risk pf dust and were concerned about the risk of damage to a new floor - we need not have worried. I sent the email below to their office at the end of the work and am happy to put it on this review. "Please pass on out thanks to Paul and all the team, everything went very smoothly on both visits. In particular we were very impressed with the care with which dust sheets and mats were meticulously fitted to avoid dust spreading during the removal of the plaster and the care on both visits with clearing up afterwards, it was much appreciated. The new plaster looks super. We will happily recommend Assured Preservations to any of our friends who may need similar work. Assured gave us a competitive quote (not the cheapest and they did charge to come out and do a survey, but that gave us more confidence in the quote than those we had from other firms that were more speculative) and a detailed plan, and when we commissioned the works, were able to fit us in at a time to suit us which we really appreciated. The works went smoothly, the guys were helpful and friendly and cleared up after themselves whilst they were ongoing. There was a problem with an extractor fan that was fitted during the works and someone came back to inspect it and then replace it at no extra cost, and then when an additional patch of wall above where some of the works had been carried out became damp a few weeks later, Assured were able to send someone out who quickly identified the cause and fixed it within a day.
