## In customers' own words
_Verbatim quotes from this trader's public reviews, each attributed to its source:_
> "What an absolute star Billy is. Installation was for a new induction hob, replacing an old (cut off) gas hob. 5-burner induction was too powerful to go through the circuit if wired with the electric oven, so put them on separate wiring to the fuse box. Done in 3 visits, but Billy always managed to fit us into his busy days. Absolute pleasure to deal with, always friendly and kept us updated on when he be arriving. Job done in under 2 hours, with no problems at all. Will be keeping his details for any further work, if required. Huge thanks to Checkatrade for having him on their tradesman list."

> "The second time we have used Billie’s services and as last time the work was carried out to a high standard at a reasonable price and everything was left clean and tidy. Billie is a true tradesman and it was a pleasure to have him work in our home."

> "A true professional, Billy arrived at the time agreed and within two hours had fixed the problem we were having with a constantly tripping fuse, a problem that had evaded three previous electricians. The work was carried out at what I considered a very fair price and when finished Billy left the place clean and tidy. I would have no hesitation in recommending Billy’s company and have in fact asked him to quote for another job."

## Before you hire an electrician
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
- Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
- Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
- Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
- Check any credential evidence, and that the business details independently check out.
