## In customers' own words
_Verbatim quotes from this trader's public reviews, each attributed to its source:_
> "Mark, Paul and Mo worked really hard over a day and a half, & went above & beyond to ensure that the finished area looked really nice. They even re-laid part of our garden path so that it joined up perfectly with the block paved area. Our job was made even more challenging in that all spoils, new materials and heavy equipment had to be taken through our house and our recent newly installed kitchen, to and from our back garden. However, the guys took great care to ensure that, despite the muddy conditions, everywhere remained spotless and that nothing was knocked on the way through."

> "Definitely 5 stars from us! Mark, Paul and Mo worked very hard on our project, were friendly, punctual and polite and were happy to accommodate minor amendments along the way. Our BBQ area and driveway are now areas to be proud of, they installed Vuba resin which looks amazing and built a new retaining wall from bricks salvaged from our 1902 house during a previous project which finishes the area off perfectly. All the work was done to a very high standard and on schedule, a big thank you to the team as well as Andy for his initial visits and advice."

> "Mark and Paul did a great job, it looks very smart and the planning and prep they put in means it should last for many years. They worked hard, arriving at 7.30 each morning. Mark involved me in the decisions so I understood what was being done at each step. The weather wasn’t on their side, the final finishing needed dry weather and they came back to do this a couple of weeks later. They were committed to a good job and did not rush to finish it to get paid. I would highly recommend Mark, Paul and also Andy for the initial discussions and measuring up. There was no pressure to proceed."

## Before you hire a landscaper
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade — general guidance, not a claim about this business:_
- Get an itemised quote that separates plants and materials, any machinery or skip hire, and labour — a vague 'garden makeover' lump sum hides where the money goes and makes extra charges easy to add later.
- Be wary of paying a large sum up front 'for materials' — agree staged payments against work you can see completed, especially for hard landscaping like patios, decking, paving or driveways.
- Tree work and anything near a boundary can be regulated — protected trees and conservation areas often need permission, and removing a protected tree can be an offence. Confirm what is allowed, and that they carry public-liability insurance, before work starts.
- Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
- Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
