For us, design starts from a clear understanding of the way in which it must work for our clients over its expected life. Our clients’ tastes, aims and needs shape the solution, alongside the constraints of the property or site and the associated opportunities for creative problem solving. Pleasure from using the resulting buildings, and enhancement of the enjoyment of domestic and social life are implicit aims alongside the creation of beautiful buildings and spaces. Such matters as ecological or environmental sustainability can play a dominant part, as can working with historic and listed buildings and sensitive settings. Addressing such matters successfully forms a core to our work, which ranges widely in project size and scope. The functional basis of design provides the best route to good architecture and efficient and cost effective building performance. Close communication with our clients, efficient use of project resources, informed negotiation of the statutory and legislative framework, and effective management of time, quality, cost, and contracts, are central to the service we offer. As long standing users of Building Information Modelling we are able to make best use of technology to support communication and collaboration in the development of the right design for each client and each project. Jacques Partnership has been practicing architecture and interior design since 2000. We are an RIBA Chartered Practice and Tom Jacques is an RIBA Client Adviser. We undertake work involving specific and individual housing needs and accessibility requirements, including acting as Expert Witness in the High Court.
