## In customers' own words
_Verbatim quotes from this trader's public reviews, each attributed to its source:_
> "I am extremely happy with the work completed by the team. The work was mainly at my property, but the team did a great job, when I called my parents to tell them and sent photos, they asked for a quote on crowning a large sycamore, and the guys offered to go and complete the work that day as they were free for the remaining part of the day. My parents were also extremely happy with the work carried out and how safe, fast and tidy they were too. I found the guys all to be very friendly courteous and not at all brash in any way. They were clean in presentation as well as their workmanship. 10/10"

> "Very thorough assessment on a tree that has a TPO on it. Rather than risking us paying to remove the deadwood then finding out the whole tree needed removing, they invited a tree officer to confirm the decision about the safety of the tree first. It was all done very efficiently and we will be using them again next year."

> "They arrived when they said they were going to and completed the work as agreed. We have used Andy and his team on a number of occasions and always been happy with the work they have carried out."

## Before you hire a tree surgeon / arborist
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- Public-liability cover for tree work is commonly £2–5m. Anything much lower is worth questioning on a big job.
- Check they carry public-liability insurance and ask to SEE the certificate. Tree work is high-risk and damage to your property, a neighbour's, or a person is expensive to put right.
- Before any felling or heavy pruning, check whether the tree is protected (a preservation order, a conservation area, or active bird nesting), because YOU, the homeowner, can be fined for unauthorised work, not just the contractor.
- Get the scope in writing (which trees, how much to take off, and who removes the waste and grinds the stump), and never pay in full before the work is finished.
- Prefer a tree surgeon approved by the Arboricultural Association, and check with your local council's tree officer before working on any protected tree or one in a conservation area.
