## In customers' own words
_Verbatim quotes from this trader's public reviews, each attributed to its source:_
> "We had L&P to rewire our house we are renovating and God they done was excellent very efficient and tidy workers turned up on time and worked together well with each other would definitely recommend them if you need any electrical work doing I will use them again not overpriced and very clean workers thank you very much"

> "Chris is a first rate Engineer in all senses of the word, I am delighted with his service on this project. and I would recommend him unreservedly. The old fusebox was suspect and a fire risk. The new consumer unit replacing it, also needed to be relocated to allow a totally new boiler to be incorporated in the utility cupboard. Chris also identified an earth fault on the local leg of the supply network, which he resolved efficiently and effectively in conjunction with the Network Operator. Most wiring needed to be replaced and despite challenges Chris held to his firm quote. Outstanding!"

> "He wasn't the cheapest quote but Chris' professionalism was worth every penny. Chris did an outstanding job on the full electrical rewire, following my recent purchase of this 1930s house. On a technical job like this, I was careful on all quotes, to check qualifications (in particular CGLI 2391 Electrical Testing and 18th Edition IEE regs) and Chris patiently produced all (plus a bonus MIET - search that yourself). While testing, Chris also found a fault in the network connection of the supply, which he reported and arranged a very prompt full fix with network engineers (no extra charge)."

## Before you hire an electrician
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
- Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
- Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
- Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
- Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time, not only the quality of the work.
