## In customers' own words
_Verbatim quotes from this trader's public reviews, each attributed to its source:_
> "I usually go for tradespeople with many good reviews, so I was hesitant to use a newer trade, but Luke was proactive, explained all repair options clearly. He fixed 2 concealed toilets (running water, dripping sounds, faulty flushes) by properly replacing the parts without removing tiles. He also repaired 3 dimmer switches, replaced a pendant light, and neatly filled and repainted a ceiling hole. Very professional and organized, friendly and with a great can-do attitude, he made the whole experience stress-free. The price was fair and transparent. I will definitely use his service again."

> "Really nice and friendly guy. Punctual and thoroughly professional throughout. He could have really left me in the lurch but he didn't and I cannot thank him enough. The irony is, I was apprehensive to use Luke because he only had 1 review. However, I had no choice and I am so glad it worked out that way as he was great. Took and old immersion cylinder from the 50s out, put a new stopcock on, took out a gas fire and cut back some gas piping. Will now use him again for more work. Don't hesitate like I did, book now, you won't regret it."

## Before you hire a gas engineer
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- By law, anyone working on your gas appliances must be on the Gas Safe Register. Ask to see their Gas Safe ID card and check the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before they start.
- Never let an unregistered person touch your gas: unsafe gas work risks carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and explosion, and is a criminal offence.
- For a boiler or appliance install, get the work and price in writing and keep the Gas Safe / Building Regulations certificate they are required to give you.
- Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
- Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time, not only the quality of the work.
