## In customers' own words
_Verbatim quotes from this trader's public reviews, each attributed to its source:_
> "Hired the guys to tidy up garden ready to build a new koi pond, work done to excellent standard. Then whilst that was going on agreed with them to build the new pond, which looks great. Definitely bringing them back to do more work in the future 10/10."

> "Callum and Mark came to the rescue after I had a raised pond knocked down on the patio. I wanted what remained made good to match the rest of the patio. Callum kept in touch and on the second attempt (because of the weather) made it for 8am start as promised. He and Mark worked solidly till work was done. They clean up after them, left everything tidy and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. Will definately have no qualms about employing them again or recommend them to others"

> "Callum and Mark turned our sloping grass garden into a nice terraced garden. Upper level paved with reuse patio slabs and prepped for a garden room installation. Mid terrace with center path and prepped for two small lawn areas, LH side sleeper planter created. Lower level patio & path with 900x600 porcelain tiles, edged with cobbles and grouted with Pro Pave to an excellent finish. LH side sleeper planter created. All work carried out in Late Jan to mid Feb, working through some of the wettest weather we’ve seen recently. All work delivered with quality and accuracy despite the conditions."

## Before you hire a builder
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade — general guidance, not a claim about this business:_
- Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
- Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
- Be wary of a cash-only price or pressure to start tomorrow — both are red flags for an unaccountable job.
- Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
- Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
