Through the years of experiences as an interior designer I've acquired the kind of creativity that can transform a dull-looking room into a masterpiece of excitement. Many ideas normally come naturally however; being creative alone is not enough and is not the only requirement for a job. Knowing the importance in succeeding on my job I've learned how to be organised, attentive to detail and commercially minded. This is because I'm not simply a designer but a businessperson as well. As one of the most important skills is to be able to organize my schedule to accommodate my time between designing and dealing with my clients. Another important skill is to be able to coordinate and communicate effectively with all people in several areas and trades. As an interior designer I know how to be a great communicator who can motivate professionals, such as electricians, plumbers, and architects. These people will turn into reality what I have visualised and designed. In addition, my designs need to meet certain regulations and be within the law in terms of safety and social acceptability. For that reason, be equipped with the building and design codes of that particular region is a must for me to proceed with all sorts of projects. I'm proud of myself at doing many things simultaneously, multi-tasking and handling more than one project at any time and being a quick thinker and solution provider. Finally numeracy, the ability to handle and make calculations. This quality is vital for surveying and making considerations of the available space and any adjustments needed must be precise for any project that I take onboard.
