Homeowner workflows
Enquiry, shortlist, account, and chat data is used to operate the requested workflow, keep context together, and prevent abuse.
No ad profiling
MTT does not sell personal data, does not use personal data for advertising profiling, and does not use advertising cookies.
Rights route
Access, correction, restriction, erasure, portability, objection, and trader profile review requests all have named contact routes.
1. Who we are
MyTrustedTraders is a UK-based platform that aggregates publicly available information about tradespeople to help homeowners make informed decisions.
2. What data we collect
Trader profile data includes names, business names, phone numbers, websites, review data, and service information from publicly accessible directories.
Enquiry data includes the homeowner contact details and job description submitted through the product.
Session data is used to keep account, shortlist, and conversation flows working. Usage data includes standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and visited pages.
3. How we use data
We display trader profiles and reviews, forward enquiries to relevant claimed traders, improve matching quality, and protect the service from abuse.
We do not sell personal data to third parties or use personal data for advertising profiling.
4. Trader profile data and removal
Tradespeople can ask for inaccurate, harmful, or unwanted profile data to be corrected, restricted, or removed by using the trader-rights route or emailing privacy@mytrustedtraders.co.uk.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact privacy@mytrustedtraders.co.uk to exercise those rights.
6. Retention and services
Operational records are kept only as long as needed for the service, legal obligations, safety, dispute handling, and product integrity. Enquiry records are normally retained for up to 2 years, unclaimed public profiles are reviewed periodically, and server logs are normally retained for 30 days.
External processors may be used for email delivery, AI assistance, storage, and infrastructure under appropriate processing terms.
7. Cookies
We use necessary session cookies for account, shortlist, and conversation flows. We do not use advertising cookies or advertising profiling cookies.
8. Third-party services
AI assistance, email delivery, storage, and infrastructure services may process limited information where needed to operate the product.
Those services are used for product operation, delivery, and abuse prevention, not for selling personal data.
