We employed this company to undertake a part build loft conversion for us in a 1960s bungalow, providing 2 bedrooms and a shower room. They undertook the main part of the building work including the planning application and we completed the job (insulation, electrics, plumbing and plasterwork). Their work was quick, efficient and clean, main build took just 3 and a half weeks. We were kept informed throughout and with regular site visits we were able to make some decisions as the job progressed. The personable staff both on site and in the offices made it a pleasurable rather than stressful experience, I would recommend them to anyone thinking of transforming a roof space into a useful living space. They know their stuff!

Charles Grosvenor have been brilliant from start to finish. Customer service has been flawless - everyone we met from the company were friendly and professional. They were realistic about time scales and kept us up to date throughout the process. They may not be the cheapest option but SO worth spending the extra money as they communicate and liaise with everyone -builders, scaffolders, electricians and plumbers - getting everything organised without any stress from our end! We were especially delighted with the size of our new room - our loft was really small and they somehow managed to create a really beautiful open space with a new staircase and it's totally transformed our house! I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Over the years I have had a number building firms carry our work for me, some good some very average . How refreshing to find a building firm that sticks to its quality of service and its professionalism. All the work is carried out with the customer in mind, any problems are immediately rectified. Russell Annis our project manager was always there to make sure the work measured up to our expectations. All the staff and builders we came in contact with at Charles Grosvenor were polite and helpful. Unfortunately good building firms are rare, Charles Grosvenor is one of the best. PS My build was a tricky one as I converted a loft in a full size Barn, but it looks stunning.

Awful experience from start to finish. Builders who didn’t show up, turned up late and leave early. Damage to our property caused by the builder not securing the access hole correctly when leaving to be off site for a week, which allowed rain to enter our property. The damaged was meant to be be fixed by plasterer and decorated, the plasterer forgot that room so had to be called back and the decorating never took place. When builder was meant to return to finish job, he didn’t show up due to illness. When he returned on the Friday he was late and became aggressive and swore in front of my young children. He then walked off the job. Our job had to be finished by a mixture of different people, which was not done to a high standard and not a great deal of care taken. When contacting directors to complain they said that my husband aggravated the builder by asking what time he called it when he showed up late. I have had nothing but poor customer service from this company, I feel let down and the whole situation left me highly stressed. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We had a full width dormer loft conversion with work completed by Charles Grosvenor Limited. The work was completed to a high standard , on time and within budget. The Charles Grosvenor team were helpful throughout the process , providing excellent communications and responsive customer service. The tradesmen were all polite , helpful and produced good quality work. We are very pleased with the end result and we would recommend Charles Grosvenor Limited for similar work.

This is the second loft conversion that Charles Grosvenor have completed for us. We were so pleased with the first that when we moved house, we got in touch with them straight away for another! They are consistently helpful, their work is done to a high standard, communication is excellent, and when a few issues arose they were resolved very quickly and thoroughly. The work was completed according to the agreed budget and schedule. We are delighted with the two rooms they have created for us in our new home, and would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone.

Our Charles Grosvenor Loft conversion has made a huge impact on my families lives! We have had a hip to gable, dormer plus Velux installed. New stair case, first floor adjusted and matched to existing stair case details. They were quick, clean, tidy and v accommodating. The guys on site were friendly, highly professional and flexible, even to my 2 year old sons nap times!! The whole job was completed in just under 25 days! Having this extra space now means that all my children have a bedroom. Our relatives can have a double bed in our house rather than staying in a local hotel or b&b. The job was completed to budget and before the predicted end date. Russell, Darren and the whole office team were simply a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Charles Grosvenor converted our loft into a fabulous space, with a large bedroom and bathroom and huge storage area - that was connected to the first floor with a bespoke staircase. They agreed a plan and stuck to it, in particular adapting the schedule to satisfactorily deal with lock down. They were also flexible and could accommodate changes that we asked for and they handled the related price adjustments in a business-like way. For example, we added a few extras round the house, such as electrical improvements. The finish was good and decorating could be carried out without undue preparation. The team were generally a delight to deal with. The office staff provided great support and planned well ahead, so there weren't any surprises, and the onsite team were also easy to deal with. At the end of the job, they took the time to ensure that things were completed satisfactorily.
