Digital Doctors

Well in this particular instance, Digital Doctors repaired by children's gaming PC. They liaised with Dell on my behalf and took all the hassle that I would have had as well as anxiety due to not being particularly tech savvy and resolved the issues. I have been using Digital Doctors since 2004 and I am extremely happy with the level of service they provide and the costs associated with their expertise. I would have no trouble recommending Digital Doctors and have done to numerous friends and clients in the past.

I have had a maintenance contract with Digital Doctors for decades; it includes a remote monthly check on my two computers. The service is courteous and efficient. Highly recommended.

Digital Doctors have provided an excellent continuous service caring for and looking after my computer for over 10 years. The personnel have responded efficiently in a most professional way to all my requests for information, advice and help and I have been very pleased and happy with their service.

My laptop had become completely unworkable and gone on terminal strike. Digital Doctors has installed a new solid state hard drive and transferred all the information from the old drive to the new drive. The old battery was on its last legs and has been replaced with a new battery. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the company and the ability to transform a computer on its last legs into a new functioning laptop. The work done was for a very reasonable price. I can recommend the company without reservation knowing that they know what they are doing and if you have a problem, they are in a position to advise you about the best possible solution.

Friendly and helpful service, including quick answering of the phone, and a quick turnaround. The main fault (of two) with my laptop was that the wi-fi wasn't working. Having made an appointment, I dropped the laptop off at their office on a Wednesday morning, and was told it would probably be ready to collect by Friday. In fact, they phoned me on Thursday lunchtime to say that I could collect it that afternoon! Apparently, it was a software problem, and so they just charged me the standard consultation fee of £79. The only reason I've given them 4 stars out of 5 is that they managed to lose two of the laptop's rubber feet, but didn't tell me about this! I would certainly use them again. I also sent the text of this review to another review site, and following its publication there I received a reply from Digital Doctors apologising for not refitting the rubber feet and asking me to contact them to make an appointment for one of their reps to visit me and re-fit them! In view of this, I'd like to amend my initial rating of them to five stars across the board. I'll certainly use them again if the need arises.

Although being old enough to know better, an attempt to speed up a PC resulted in the loss of a long standing e-mail account. Attempts to deal with it through the ISP proved to be less than easy. Contact was made with Digital Doctors and a way forward was agreed. This proved to be less than an easy journey; revealing along the way the aged software which the ISP was using and will presumably continue to use until they close down (by design) in the next few months. What should have been both quick and easy proved to be the total opposite. However, Digital Doctors' 'computer side' manners were patient, effective and eventually worked. For this, I am very grateful and glad that I thought to look for a Which Trusted Trader to deal with this.

I'm delighted to recommend Digital Doctors on the basis of the work they have carried out for me in the last 8 months. In the initial phone call, they explained in great detail how they would go about the retrieval work and the precautions they would take, in language and at a pace which suited me. There was no pressure. When they visited, they worked so that I could see everything, listened carefully, explained each step, only going ahead when I understood and agreed. The whole process was at my pace. There was a thoughtful and helpful follow-up phone call. The work they did recently, updating and setting up a laptop for me with new security while preserving what I asked for and improving the indoor wifi signal was similarly painstaking, thorough, thoughtful, caring and logical work. I have signed up for Tech Assure ongoing care from them, and now I don't even have to speak with the broadband provider. I think their work is very good value. But it feels to me as if what really matters to them is the quality and thoroughness of their work and sensitivity to the customer's needs.

After an auto-update, all my folders disappeared from their usual place, and various other things seemed to go wrong. John came out and worked on the computer most of the afternoon, and it was sorted. No fuss, reasonable cost. This is the third time they've sorted the machine (moved house, new hard drive, current issue) and they're consistently great.
