We had a very large lounge double glazed window that needed to be replaced and adjacent patio doors that had seen better days. As so often, I consulted Which? Trusted Trader and found two local companies of interest. My subsequent experience with Essex Window Design came in three stages: 1. Trevor, who I assume is the owner/manager of this company, came for an initial assessment of work to be done. He showed excellent understanding of existing faults and explained possible resolutions of the problems in existing brickwork and the windows. With no persuasion regarding possible options, he left me to decide which was best for me. 2. Once I had opted for one of these choices, Trevor promised of a detailed estimate for the installation of sliding patio doors to replace the large window and to replace patio doors with a single double glazed window. The price quoted eventually quoted was far less than that given by another Which? Trusted trader, and no deposit was requested. 3. On Friday 13 October, Trevor's team arrived to remove existing window and doors and to fit the replacements. Despite strong winds and heavy rain, adequate provision of dust sheets and protective plastic underlay ensured all furnishing remained dry. But what I expected to be a day's work was completed with in one morning with great efficiency and no inconvenience. The quality of the new patio doors and window is first rate and I am delighted with the service offered by this company.

We had standard patio doors and windows removed and a bi-folding door put in place, the quality of the door is is high quality and it works with ease. The workmanship was equally high with no mess in my lounge. It was finished around the outside to a high standard and no make and good needed. Excellent from start to finish. Would highly recommend.
