A recurring theme in our work is manipulating the use of light and materials when we produce comfortable new homes for our clients. Founder and director, John Fitzgerald, has extensive and diverse experience of both residential and commercial spaces worldwide. Working with Heritage Buildings and in Conservation Areas, John has developed an understanding of the unique constraints of Historic buildings. Projects he has been responsible for have won awards for design, sustainability and management. From thorough investigation and innovative solutions Fitzgerald Architecture brings a sensitive yet cost-effective approach to each project. Our focus is on local, largely domestic work, with an emphasis on private residential homes. Our range of work is diverse and focuses on bespoke solutions for our clients. This includes new buildings, complete remodelling, extensions and refurbishment. We love the challenge of realising our clients’ visions and do not subscribe to an ideological approach to design. Consequently, our approach is pragmatic and flexible to accommodate a mixture of contemporary and traditional projects. We adopt a collaborative approach to help our clients create their new homes. We pride ourselves on the level of personal attention that is provided which we tailor to recognise the individual requirements of each client. Our approach is dedicated and committed to finding the best solution for you. Critically, as we do not believe in a ‘one-size fits all’ method we will investigate alternative solutions and using a holistic approach to your design provide a truly personalised service.
