This is the second plastering job I’ve needed over the years and both times I’ve used IJW Plastering Services. Great communication and workmanship and very competitive price. This time we had two flights of stairs boarded and skimmed and just like the first time, was a first-class job. Highly recommended.

Having had multiple challenges with other tradespeople during the build of our fairly significant outside garden room and workshop, Ian was an absolute pleasure. He did the outside rendering to a very high standard even with some very awkward access in areas and also did a very fine job of the internal plastering. The main take-home for us though was not just the quality of his work but that he always turned up when expected and did exactly what he said he would. Seemingly a relative rarity these days. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services, he's also a very nice guy to boot.

We had a very damp wall in our period cottage that needed replastering. Ian quoted for this and was able to do the work only a week or so after our first contact. Behind the old plaster was an unexpected find - an old stone wall in good condition, so we changed our plans to expose it. Ian and his assistant dealt with all the surprises associated with an old house brilliantly, with just the right balance of flexibility, sensitivity and pragmatism. The budget and schedule were exactly as planned. Ian's communication was exceptionally good, he responded quickly and helpfully to all queries. He was also very helpful in moving some of our stuff around and covering it with dust sheets. We are very pleased with the result.

I was recommended to Ian by my architect and am so pleased I was. I had various plastering jobs required in my 400 year old property and Ian was able to deal with them all in a very timely manner and to a really professional standard. He had to use various plastering products to ensure the walls remained breathable and finished the kitchen ceiling perfectly after a new roof and velux windows had been installed.

Upon meeting Ian, we had a very good first impression and were not disappointed. Our complete dining room needed re-plastering - walls and ceiling. We found Ian to be very helpful and communicative. He did the work in a professional, reliable and timely manner. The job was done to a high standard and within the agreed budget. We would not hesitate to use his services again.

Ian plastered either side of an exposed chimney breast in our Victorian terrace for us. The work completed was to a very high standard, it’s clear he has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Ian was quick, friendly and provided a good service at a competitive price, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others.

Work required on dinning room included cutting away rain damaged ceiling, replacing insulation and plasterboard, skimming for papering. Repairing and plastering one wall. Arranging for ceiling to be papered. Painting the walls, ceiling and woodwork. Bedroom required removal of wall paper, and walls to be skimmed, followed by painting the walls, ceiling and woodwork. I was very pleased with the result in both rooms. Ian arrived on time, worked hard, completed on schedule and within budget. All carried out to a high professional standard, I would certainly recommend him for similar work.
