"We have a pair of 90 year old oak front doors, curved at the top and looking like a church entrance. The joints were sagging, and the bottom of each door was rotten. Jason removed each door, reconstructed the dowelled tenon and mortice joints and replaced the bottom 2 feet by scarfing on new oak. He also replaced the doorstep sill, which was rotten at both ends and was no longer attached to the doorframe, with new oak. We now have sound doors which open and close properly, yet retain some of their quirkiness because inevitably they are still slightly warped from years of sunshine and rain."

When I thought I had a problem at the end of the job he returned and together we worked out that the problem was with the double glazed window and not the windowsill.
