Mark Fox

Very pleased with Mark's painting and decorating of a couple of tired-looking bedrooms. We were expecting a quick makeover and a lick of paint but Mark did a really thorough job with the walls and the woodwork, and the rooms now look great. A job well done.

The work was completed, but the overall finish wasn't as high-quality as I expected and some areas lacked attention to detail. When I raised a few concerns during the job, I didn't feel they were taken on board, which was disappointing. Payment was requested immediately on the final day, which added to the feeling that the focus was more on finishing quickly than on achieving a good standard. Sadly, the service didn't meet my expectations.

I chose Mark because he appeared to have good attention to detail as well as good reviews here. Having felt really pleased with his work on the whole, I did feel he rushed things on the last day and therefore left a few things that could be improved. When I questioned these he made me feel like I was nagging and I’m sure if he’d given it another half a day we both would have been happier. Despite Mark saying he would come back to put things right he never has. Messy edging, clearly only one coat on some walls, decking paint already coming off only two months later. Very very disappointed.
