Penfield Construction were very responsive and professional in getting all the information they needed to provide a quote, which was very competitive. Our tradesman, Joe, was polite, a good communicator and takes pride in his work. We are very happy with the work he has done for us and the advice he provided on painting and finishing. Penfield Construction were appointed as builders and project managers of a large renovation project of an 18th century house. We could not have been more pleased with their quality of build and overall professionalism. To complicate their job for us, they had to work around an elderly gentleman and at all times they were considerate of his needs. All the trades who were engaged on the project were courteous, tidy, conscientious and did what they said they would do, when they said they would. Communication and discussion as the project progressed was thorough and good.

First job: Penfields installed a low mortar plinth along the bottom of the exterior frontage of most of the former shop area to prevent further ingress of surface water from the road outside into the old stone/rubble-brick wall. Second: Removed 'blown' and damp render from large area of the interior face of the exterior wall, left to dry out, then replaced with new lime-bound render in three stages. Third: Converted a plasterboard-blocked former doorway into a recessed storage matrix for CDs. Fourth: Remedied previous work done by others on a wall section in the former sorting-office area.
