Simply Stumps is the name of the company and they remove stumps. Quickly, efficiently and at a very fair price. Scott Howfield, the owner operator, is pleasant and helpful. Arrived on time, did the job and cleared up everything. Would always use again.he removed 26 stumps from my garden. Left everything clean and tidy; no mess whatsoever. All at a very fair price. Highly recommended.

Scott has provided a fantastic service for us; he was prompt, courteous and friendly on arriving to quote for the work. He confirmed dates & worked hard to complete removal of the 150 or so stumps in the agreed time; it was a very impressive operation to watch. Having found Scott's positive reviews via Which Local, I anticipated a high quality and expert service. He delivered on both counts. Following a rapid response for my email request for a quote to remove 4 trees stumps my only disappointment was being told it would take 2 weeks to get to me - Scott is clearly a busy man. When he arrived, we discussed the work and having overlooked a rather old stump, Scott agreed to include this 5th task as part of his original quote - brilliant and very generous. Having explored options to hire a stump grinder, I was very impressed by his tracked and clearly heavy duty machine. It fits through the average side gate and Scott got to work with little delay. As promised, he reduced the size of the stump with his chain saw and then ground the remaining wood to below the level of the lawn. Fully equipped with wooden screens, there was no collateral damage and I was left with a large pile of wood chipping in place of each stump. I finally got round to using the chipping on my flower beds today so I can confirm that I could find no trace of each stump. He also left each area tidy. Added to that, Scott is a trained arboriculturalist and he kindly offered some free advice with regard to planting. All in all, this was a great service well worth the wait and investment.
