Technique Roofing and Maintenance

Absolutely shocking experience, contract agreed in January 2024 to start work in June. Finally arrived in late August and they still had not finished the week before Christmas 2024 (Flat roof not even started.) The 2 week job has stretched on for 16 weeks, worked a couple of days then disappeared for a couple of weeks. The drip bucket has been in place for weeks, I have even had to get up in the night to empty it. Knowing I wouldn't see them over the Christmas period and probably beyond, they were told to collect their gear and leave on about 19th December. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Estimate provided/accepted, provisional start date agreed a month ahead. Asked if I wanted a temporary 'repair' done pending actual work - no charge mentioned - agreed. Downhill from there, provisional start date arrived, I prompted for an update, told scaffolders had been ordered, they didn't arrive. Advised Technique of that fact, assured scaffolders would attend a day later (Sunday). They didn't. Never given an actual start date. Surprised I decided to cancel due to loss of confidence / wasted time. Got an invoice for £200 for pushing a single slipped tile back into place - the repair??

Technique came to inspect my roof due to a leak. It was obvious with the pictures taken that my roof was in a bad way. Some rotten rafters making the roof unsafe. Danny and team made arrangements with their current customer to help me out before their works finished and within 24hrs scaffold was installed at my house. They came and replaced rafters and made watertight before returning to finish the previous customers works. (I was happy with this). Returned to finish that weekend. Absolutely happy with the works and the way I was prioritised. Thank you boys and see you for the Cladding. J
