Thirteen Five is an Architecture practice based in Cheshire and Manchester. We specialise in bespoke architectural designs tailored to the needs of our clients. (2) Integrated; each project begins with a thorough understanding of the place and time in which they are found. Our designs are uniquely integrated to their site, surrounding and history. Each responds to the natural elements which define them: light, earth, wind and rain. (3) Responsible; through careful selection of materials and sustainable design practices, we seek to minimise the carbon footprint of each project. Our practice is lead by Matthew Burnett, ARB RIBA PgDip MArch BA(Hons). Matthew is a RIBA Chartered Architect who oversees the creative vision behind every project. Since 2012, Matthew has delivered projects in the residential, commercial and public sectors for RIBA Award winning practices PRP and Tonkin Liu. He led the design teams delivering: the Tower of Light in Manchester, Dinosaur Swing Bridge in Crystal Palace and the renovation and extension of the Grade-II* Listed Old House. Matthew also led the design team which won an international design competition for Grosvenor Square, and was shortlisted for the UK Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020 with Tonkin Liu’s Ocean of Light.
