The ground floors are suspended. The void underneath the floors is ventilated by air bricks situated around the house. Therefore very cold floors, a lot of drafts, no insulation. Ground floors have settled within the room walls, the floors are not level any more I asked CW to remove the skirting boards, level the floor joists, install 100mm celotex insulation between the joists with membranes below and above. Repair the chimney. Install a 22mm chipboard flooring, remove the wall paper, replaster the room and re paint All this within a very strict deadline . CW gave me a quote which we discussed. There were no claims, no financial surprises. The work was finished early The quality of the work was excellent They did not cut any corners. The quality of the plastering and painting was excellentf. I shall use them again for further work. I have deleted all my photos. All you can see now is a finished floor.
