Did an excellent job of replacing ridge tiles on main roof, garage and five dormers. Good quotation, called round again at a weekend to discuss arrangements before starting, pleasant to have about and cleared up well afterwards. Not the cheaper of the two quotations I got (by a small margin), but easily the more confidence-inspiring: very easy to communicate with, responding to my questions and concerns and explaining his recommendations.

If you want a superb reliable roofing specialist Tony is your man! Tony gave us a personal service advising on various aspects regarding a new roof and removal of an existing chimney. The existing roof covering was carefully stripped, the rafters were checked and treated with preservative. Additional timbers were supplied and the lead valley was removed and replaced. The work was carried out to an agreed schedule and on budget. He contacted us every day to inform us of the procedures being carried out and left the property in a tidy condition. From start to finish I am incredibly pleased with the process. From phoning and viewing the new roof with gorgeous slate tiles ( even located the quarry in Galicia, top one in Spain) it was all done in a month. The scaffolders they use do all the Oxford colleges and were fantastically efficient - they have worked with them for 35 years. Tony and Mick when it comes to roofs are the tops, craftsman whose attention to detail is 100% - the lead flashing an art form. Every tile was tapped to sing like a bell in case of a flaw..always best materials, in wood, insulation etc. Every evening a total clean up of the work space to ready for the next day and all rubbish disposed of. The price was absolutely fair....especially as this type of quality is excellent.

We realised 2 tiles had got broken in an awkward place above a Velux in our sloping kitchen roof so sent the trader photos. From this information they gave us an estimate and managed to squeeze this job in quickly. In their busy schedule. We were impressed they bothered with this small but important job because we could see a gap where rain could get in. The team inspected the problem, went to fetch what was required, then got to work being very careful not to cause any damage as they had to rest their ladder on the roof to reach the broken tiles. They explained clearly what they had done - they found 2 more damaged tiles and replaced them as well without charging more. They were courteous and left everything tidy. We thought the price was fair for this job.

I was mega impressed earlier this year with a roof that had been done earlier this year & the immense care and love of craft displayed in their work. Our porch roof was next on the list and had a sudden brain wave that as our bedroom looked onto the flat roof I wanted something that would give pleasure for years to come. All drainage problems sorted out, structure rebuilt and then one piece of lead almost 2 by 1 metre beautifully beaten out, carved around edges, shaped like a sculpture over a lip. As if a miracle the heavens opened 15 minutes after finishing the job & it was 100% successful. I only called them a week ago - immediate response. In my opinion they are gold dust and possibly the last roofers that can work to such an incredibly high standard - with incredible pride in their work, good humour and patience. a huge thank you

Chantler roofing did an excellent job - they responded quickly to the initial enquiry, did the job when they said they would to a high standard and at a fair price. The work was tested by torrential rain the day after they finished and passed with flying colours! They were lovely people to deal with, always friendly and helpful and cleaned up beautifully after the job was done. What more could one possibly ask for!
