need new reinforced concrete slab over a new DPC Asim and his team worked hard on our job. Our job was extended to include more work , with them earning over £22,000 for their work on our job . Their good points were ,they came on time, and worked very hard . However , if you employ Asim , it would be a good idea to have a written specification , which covers details of the job to be undertaken , how it is to be undertaken , and materials to be used . and of course , cost . You should make clear that you expect receipts for money given . This way ,there will be no arguments or misunderstandings about expectations on either side . You may want to have the work inspected by an independent expert if you are in any doubt it has been done correctly . I am sure Asim will willingly agree to this if it is agreed at the outset. Bathroom re-fit Asim re-fitted my bathroom, helped me to work out what I needed to buy and what would work in the space available. I had never managed anything like this before and Asim helped me feel confident about the project. They worked really hard and cleared up after themselves each day and took all the rubbish away at the end. Asim was always easy to get hold of, he kept me involved in the decisions during the project and was happy to finish the job to my requirements. He did a great job and, if I had other work I wanted to get done, I would contact him again.

builder Asim and his team were employed to do the pointing and rendering to the whole property. Although a reasonable job (not great) was made to the front of the property, except the window sills, the rear of the property was very badly done. struck joints, uneven lines, broken bricks, different coloured mortar joints. a refusal to carry out the job spec meant uneven rendering, which is now cracking in places. in addition, damage to the waterproofing of the bike cover and pebbling that is more cement due to no protective covering being put down. Despite two months of giving him the opportunity to come and discuss the work, we are yet to see him. Frankly, I have wasted a lot of time sending him pictures of the work, examples of pointing types etc. we now find ourselves in a situation where we either walk away having thrown away over 4000 pounds or commission an expensive building report and try our luck with the legal system. he was not the cheapest. he won the contract on strength of character, and we are thus sorely disappointed. it is unfortunate that i am unable to post pictures of the job, as it has left us truly heartbroken. 50% of the rendering and pointing was actually fine before, we were willing to pay the price we paid, as we wanted the outside of the house to look smart. the moral of the story is don't pay money upfront and get a mastercraftsman. Answer from tradesperson: - well, i never disappoint anybody on my life. i have told them that you pay no money until you are fully satisfied with my work. - last payment is done two weeks after job has been completed they have a sing document every time they pay money - i have done one day worth of extra work at no extra cost - what is problem with this people they(claim) have asked builders (why not relevant person like building inspector) to inspect my work which i asked to meet them to discuss but no replay, is this fraud? - if you are sure that my work is bad and you trust this ''builders''

Repair Broken Fence Polite, efficient, tidy - would recommend and contact again for other jobs.

Replace soffits and fascia boards Did a good job we also got them to do our driveway. Worked hard and six months later the drive is still looking very good. Would recommend him.

14m sq concrete & wood floor needing levelling/relaying Asim was great, could see the job without having to be led. Many of the other quotes we had received couldn't do this. Asim turned up on time, left a tidy house and the finish was excellent and clearly knew what he was doing. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending him – a really nice guy and good price!

Flooring & wall tiling Asim did paint the whole house as well as tiling the kitchen. Also he did a plumbing work for us that needed doing. The work he has done for us is excellent and very detailed. He has always left the place tidy after a day work. He is very reliable, punctual and always ready to respond to a call. He does not only the job he was asked to do, but he will give suggestions in order to improve the end result. As he has good knowledge of construction and found very easy to work with, I will use him in the future when I need someone; and therefore recommend him to other people.

Need to fence an untidy garden Prior to hiring Asim, we had another fencing tradesman to come and give us a quote. He saw our overgrown, sloping and untidy garden and run off! Asim suggested different ways of dealing with the problem, came as agreed and did an excellent job, as if it was his garden. He tried to work in accordance to our wishes and also tried to save us money by using existing material. His workmanship was better than expected and will hire him again for several other odd jobs.

Fence panel replacement Asim contacted me and came to see the job very promptly. He did a really good job, replacing 2 fence panels inexpensively and repaired a door handle and a light fitting. He did a good job & also gave me good advice. I will definitely hire him again. Asim is definitely to be recommended.

Pointing Asim quoted for the work, which was clearing and pointing 15 sq metres of London stock bricks. It also involved re-facing a column of badly damaged brickwork, which was keyed into an extension we demolished. His work was careful and the pointing was done to a high standard. He was very tidy, which, in my long experience of hiring tradesmen, is unusual. The job was in fact more difficult and time-consuming than I had thought - which he had warned me was the case. He refused to take more money than his quote, although in the end I insisted on an extra payment - although I was under no pressure from him to do so. Dealing with Asim was completely straightforward and a pleasure. I shall certainly ask him to tender for work in the future

Repair fallen garden fence panels Fantastic job by Asim on fixing our garden fence by relacing panels and also reinforcing others. Punctual, professional, reasonably priced and polite. Fix external step Asim provided a great service he was very professional and reliable. He communicated by phone and text and completed the work on our broken step. Him and his team worked hard and cleaned up perfectly Afterwards. Asim completed some brick pointing at no extra charge. He took on this small job where others came for a quote and never responded. His prices are reasonable and he has good knowledge of building. I will be recommending Asim to my friends/family for future work.

Lay concrete base for metal bike shed Asim is very knowledgeable, works quickly and comes when he says. He and another worker built a firm concrete base for my bike shed in one day. I have no hesitation in recommending him, and I have asked him to quote for more work on my flat.

Supply and/or erect a 10 x 6 foot fence structure He and his assistant are really fast and very hard workers. They built a 10 panel fence in a long days work (leaving only when it was dark). While it was a fast job, it was of very good quality and they were happy to work with the specific materials that we requested. He was very polite and friendly and even used up the left over cement mix in other places around the garden where needed. Thank you both of you very much for your hard work (all of the above providing the fence is still standing in the morning)!!

Adding 2 sqm extra deck and bench to landscaped garden Asim did an excellent job reconditioning our decking and building us a raised patio corner in the garden. We were very satisfied with the outcome and would gladly hire him again.

paving Sorry for delay. I found Asim to be a very good builder, quick, polite did a good job laying slabs on my patio and I would use him again.

garden mantainance Asim was reliable and did the job when he said he would. I haven't seen the front or back garden myself, but my tenant says it looks "really good now, front and back", the quote he gave me was reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend him. ET (Updated on 6 Mar 2019)
