AWS Painters & Decorators

Had bad experience with this firm. Accepted verbal quote on 20th July to paint outside of house, work to start Aug early Sept. Aidan asked for advance of £725 to cover paint and scaffolding which we paid. Made numerous calls asking when work would commence, varying excuses given. Late October weather not good with winter setting in Aidan agreed work would be cancelled and our advance returned. January 2021, Still no payment received, kept making excuses then blocked our phone calls and emails. We have now instructed Solicitors to apply to County Court for return of this advance plus costs

I contacted aiden to my paint hallway and landing in my property and he stated he would charge £100 a day which was 8-4.30pm, we agreed on two painters to do the work. Both painters arrived at 9am and finished by 1pm. I paid the £200 and on leaving they stated any touch ups that needed to be done they would come back. It is now nearly 4 weeks on, aiden has contacted me stating I would have a part refund due to him not being unable to return in which we agreed on. I have had no money, the works is not finished and I been blocked so I cannot contact him. I think this is absolutely disgusting.
