Best Rate are fine when all goes to plan. But they are a nightmare if anything goes wrong. Our movers broke our washer dryer, and when I got in touch (with photos of all the damage), it quickly went off the rails. Rather than taking any responsibility, they wanted to send the lead mover over to "take a look", they were difficult, and then they tried to get me to agree that an insurance claim would take too long so I should just let it go. Not even an offer for a partial refund! I've been left with no choice but to get 3rd party advice and explore my options. If this is not the kind of hassle you want after a move, I recommend finding a more responsible company who will make mistakes right.

It was easy to book the service and the team that arrived was very professional and friendly. I ordered some boxes and they were delivered to me prior to the move. The removal men loaded the boxes and the furniture neatly into the van and everything was handled with care. They also helped me to dispose of some old furniture that I didnt need in my new property.

The movers arrived 20 minutes late with no communication prior to their arrival. They had breaks in between and were pretty slow at completing the work, which resulted in a lot of hours spent moving. Two of my 2-month-old leather electric recliner sofas were damaged in the process. I was told this had been the case prior to the work being carried out. I wasn’t able to communicate with them very well, which didn’t help the situation. I called the office, but I did not get an appropriate response, concentrating mainly on the finishing time rather than my damaged property. I tried to obtain the gentleman’s name (on the phone), but I was told "that doesn't matter." Although they were the cheapest of all, I am not satisfied with their service as it was not done professionally, as advertised. Both the movers and the call handler did not manage this in an appropriate manner.

This company took advantage of me when I asked to move their team arrival hour (from 9am to 10am) in order for THEM to park on the street and not get fined for contravention. I wanted to help them and I got charged more money under the excuse of changing arrival hour. I had paid the deposit so I had no choice. Really dislike people who do such things.
