Paid £80 deposit for vinyl flooring. On the day, I was told plywood was needed (should’ve been known earlier). He left for 2–3 hours to get materials. When fitting the plywood, he used 50mm nails and hit a hot water pipe, causing major water damage and the ceiling to be torn down. He left saying he'd return in the afternoon but never came back and stopped communicating. Unprofessional and careless — would not recommend.
Not the best experience. Bobby was disorganised with the quote and had to reschedule. The job itself was done to an okay standard but I can feel small bits of loose cracked tile underneath the sheet vinyl he laid so I don’t think it will last long. Bobby then said he’d come back another day to fit the floor trim, to allow the adhesive to dry, but after no-showing 4 times and not replying to my messages, I’ve given up. I had even paid the full amount before this as I had trusted he would come back to finish the job. Really wouldn’t recommend.
