Slate tiles and underlay for semi-detached roof We are extremely disappointed. After so many positive reviews here, and getting multiple quotes from various roofers, we had hoped that Vince would be the man to do our re-roof. After failing to turn up on the very first day (he'd "got the wrong date in his diary"), and then a further two week wait for him to sort out scaffolding, he finally started work. However, he has managed to stretch out a 2-3 week re-roofing job to 6-7 months, with one excuse after another, during which time we've had leaks and damage to our interior decor. When he finally 'finished' the job, the building inspector condemned his work: tiles were broken and lose, no bonding gutter was installed with next door, detailing around the Velux windows flashing kits is incorrect, the overlap with the guttering is too great, such that water runs straight off the roof and onto the floor, rather than into the guttering - and a host of other issues. We have waited for a month for Vince to come and fix these issues (he said it'd take 1 week to fix), and he just keeps telling us he will be here 'next week' to start. We have now reached out to another roofer to do the work. Despite not paying the final instalment, we are significantly out of pocket by this whole experience.

Repair chimney and valley Clarke roofing actually identified roof problems unlike previous roofers and dealt with them accordingly. His quote was very reasonable compared to other quotes that I had received. Vincent was professional, polite, honest, helpful and reliable, nothing was too much trouble. He also repaired my chimney and I would highly recommend him.

Repair ridge tile cement from previous job Vincent is a genuinely nice person and very conscientious, helpful and goes out of his way to make sure you're happy with his work. Good with communication and follow up quotes. We are looking at giving him more work following our positive experience with him.

Check roof/chimney for leaks Despite a nasty fall and despite the terrible weather,Vince turned up and made a fantastic job of my roof and chimney. Can't recommend this bloke enough....cheerful, clean worker who tidied up after him, had to nag him to have a cuppa even though it was windy and freezing on the roof. Great bloke.

Leak under tiled roof. Excellent work, professionally executed and completed under estimate. I've already booked him in for another job. Nice chap, too - which helps!

Leaky roof Fabulous roofer. Very professional, explained all aspects of the job and breakdown of what was needed and costs. No pressure from him whatsoever from him for hiring for the job when he came to check what was needed to be done which was a refreshing change! Excellent price for a job well done. Would definitely hire him again for any other roofing work we may need and will certainly recommend him to anyone that needs their roof done.

Conservatory roof repairs Vincent was thorough, friendly and informative. He arrived promptly and cleared up when finished. We would highly recommend Vince for any roofing needs.

Clean out the gutters A very nice chap, arrived on time, got the work done at a reasonable price & I have no hesitation recommending him, in fact I'm about to accept his quote to repair my roof. I'll update when it's completed in December.
