I would recommend Coulsons without hesitation for electrical work and plumbing; they have impeccable standards and always provide work that meets any level of official certification. They are very good at dealing with 'out of the ordinary' problems eg Victorian piping or ancient wiring and will stick at the job until it is completed. Their workers do not make judgmental comments but concentrate on getting the job done. Coulsons never leave your work unfinished to go off and do something else for another customer. I have had situations where I called them in to fix one problem (a leaking tap) but was really worried about another more serious issue ( a bath that another plumber had told me had a huge insuperable problem). Coulsons' professionalism was such that I dared mention the bath and they solved the issue quickly, nipping back to the yard to get an essential part. They do usually have all the tools that are needed and do not need to call another specialist in.

I can very easily recommend Coulson & Sons to any customer. On our first meeting we went through our needs in detail. They listened to what we wanted and made notes. Where the boiler was to sit, internal pipes and and the external flue were to go. They did a survey of the property. The installation process was excellent. Dale was here at 8am every morning. He removed the old boiler and installing the new one. All of the pipes and old boiler were taken away as promised and a new boiler and filters were fitted in the allotted time. It was an extremely neat and tidy job. Everything was as I hoped it would be. Dave came to inspect progress on a regular basis. After installation the boiler manufacturer sent a team to inspect the quality of the work and test the new boiler to give us an extended warranty. The best recommendation that I can give is that we would have no hesitation in employing Dave and his team at Coulson & Sons again. We are very pleased with the work.

We had an unexpected problem with our heating thermostat just before our holiday. Coulsons kindly squeezed us into their schedule to enable an engineer to fit a replacement and also helpfully demonstrated how to use it efficiently. Highly recommended.

Coulsons provided great service in refurbishing our family bathroom and downstairs loo. Their communication was excellent from start to finish and while they were onsite they took great care to let us know how things were progressing and took time to answer our questions. They left everything tidy at the end of each work day and always arrived at the expected time. They made the whole process as painless as possible, and we were impressed with the way they handled unexpected issues that arose.
