Collaborating with like-minded individuals, families and groups, we design environmentally-conscious homes that make helpful and uplifting contributions to the world around us. How We Work Every project we produce is unique, tailored to deliver the ambitions of our environmentally-minded clients. Each one starts with a simple question: What Would You Like? From there, we listen carefully and learn as much as we can about the desires, needs and constraints that will inform the designs as they develop. Working closely with our clients, we explore the spatial, material and environmental opportunities at each design stage – from inception to construction. We strategize, we sketch, we make models, reports and presentations. We produce detailed drawings and specifications as necessary to get the dream home built. Architecture and Climate Change Buildings and construction play a significant role in the impact humans are having on the planet. How can we limit any potentially negative consequences to what we do? The challenges are many and varied and it can be tricky to know where to start. Passivhaus? Heat pumps? Triple glazing? Flat-pack construction? These are all good things but none are appropriate for every context. It is clear that there is no magic bullet or one-size-fits-all approach that will solve it – not yet at least - so we have developed a helpful and holistic framework for keeping tabs of what we are doing and where a project can make a positive difference. We call it the [Re]Minded Design principles, and these serve as a guide for getting the best outcome in a complex and changing climate context. We are chartered by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) based in London and offer a full architectural service from initial ideas to detailed design and contract administration during construction. We enjoy problem-solving through design and providing honest and considered support to all stages of the process. We also undertake research, exploring how architecture can address the challenges of a climate catastrophe. We are here to help.
