Le Lay Architects
Launch summary
Le Lay ArchitectsWe create sustainable, healthy and accessible places for people to enjoy. Buildings are about people – the people they belong to, the people who use them, the people that pass by them. That’s why we’re committed to a better kind of design – design that leads to healthier and happier lives, that creates diverse and inclusive environments, that stands the test of time. We’re experts in conservation, sustainable refurbishment, design for health and wellbeing, and neuro-accessible design. Our clients are varied and we’ve worked on housing, community projects and commercial schemes. For over fifty years, Le Lay Architects has been in the business of good design. Founded in Chelsea by David Le Lay in 1970, the practice became known for its expertise in listed buildings, built heritage and conservation. Today, Le Lay Architects is run by directors Jason Slocombe and Jonathan Goode, who worked with David. Under their guidance, the practice has taken a contemporary and collaborative approach to the design of heritage settings, underpinned by a strong research-based methodology to create architecture that is sustainable, flexible, adaptive and responsive.
