The cracked concrete that was sticking up was drilled down, flattened and concreted over. The broken concrete around the drain was replaced. It was a repair as the whole patio was too expensive for me. Looking at the work the next day, I would have preferred a neater finish. But it's done, the deep crack has gone. I can provide pictures.
