Alasdair was superb in understanding what we wanted, how to manage the process with the Council and finally completing the cutting back and preserving the welfare of our trees. He had 8 trees to work on , reducing and lifting crowns, removing branches and dealing with ivy and complex hilly. He put us at ease straight away from his expertise and knowledge, from the very first meeting. On the day everything was super professional, we were kept well informed as the team was superb and left everything super tidy."

Before any felling or heavy pruning, check whether the tree is protected — a preservation order, a conservation area, or active bird nesting — because YOU, the homeowner, can be fined for unauthorised work, not just the contractor.

Get the scope in writing (which trees, how much to take off, and who removes the waste and grinds the stump), and never pay in full before the work is finished.
