Load bearing interior wall removed & beam fitted. Replaced with fitted folding glazed oak doors. Two existing doorways blocked up with a plastered finish. This represented four days work during which the care taken with materials, dust sheets etc. was first class. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company to carry out similar building work in the future.

The job was to convert part of an integral garage into a downstairs cloakroom off the hallway for my elderly mother. Paul and his team worked swiftly and tidily and completed the job ahead of schedule. Throughout the job they were open to suggestions by us and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. River Gods refitted our kitchen and part of a bathroom, and did a brilliant job of both. Communication with the office was excellent from beginning to end, and Paul and his team started and finished the work exactly as agreed (important for me as I was travelling a lot that week). Mine was not a straightforward job - they had to work in a very restricted space, and the work required imagination and care as well as skill. We initially started our building project with a different builder who walked out without warning, leaving the job unfinished. Our experience with him, particularly the poor communication and breaking of promises, made us very wary but Rivergods were both professional and friendly, which quickly allayed our fears. They completed a range of jobs including fitting a new bathroom and downstairs toilet, removing and installing radiators, woodwork, plastering and a loft hatch with pull-down ladder. The quality of the work was excellent and we were particularly impressed by Paul and the team’s attention to detail, for example in ensuring fresh plaster was blended in seamlessly. They were fast and on schedule and provided an accurate initial quotation. Throughout, communication was easy and prompt and we felt comfortable having them in our home. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Paul and his team deliver a fantastic service. They are very professional, easy to deal with and competitively priced. Our job involved a full bathroom refit and a repair to a water damaged ceiling. It was completed on-time and on-budget. The guys always arrived promptly each morning, did a full day’s work and always cleaned up after themselves every day. Hannah in the office is also a delight to deal with, always quick to respond to any enquiries. I am absolutely delighted with the work. When deciding who to choose for bathrooms/kitchens etc it’s always a little worrisome if you don’t know the company. River Gods are the best building firm we have used. We employed them as plumbers but found them to be multi skilled and able to undertake all aspects of the project. They were well organised, punctual and a pleasure to have around the house. The work was completed on time, to a high standard and within the agreed budget. Any extra work was always agreed in advance and was reasonably priced. They did an excellent job of converting a sad bathroom into a shower room, and completely re-vamping a ramshackle space into a utility room. We will definitely use them again and have no hesitation in recommending them.
