Highlights

"Received a quick response and after popping by to do a quote I booked them in. Price was very good for what I wanted done. Very professional throughout the job, left the logs in a nice pile (I asked to keep the wood), and cleaned up afterwards too. 10/10."

"Steven and his team worked efficiently and completed the job very competently. The corrugated iron was deply imbedded and required a lot of effort to remove. All waste was removed and logs from the tree left as requested. Always friendly and helpful. Turns up when he says ewill."

Tree work is dangerous and unregulated - anyone can call themselves a tree surgeon. Arboricultural Association ARB Approved Contractors are independently assessed for the quality of their tree work, their qualifications, their insurance and their health & safety, and are re-assessed regularly. Check they're listed before work starts near your home or power lines.

Check the ARB Approved Contractor directory
Check they carry public-liability insurance (commonly £2–5m) and ask to SEE the certificate — tree work is high-risk and damage to your property, a neighbour's, or a person is expensive to put right.
Before any felling or heavy pruning, check whether the tree is protected — a preservation order, a conservation area, or active bird nesting — because YOU, the homeowner, can be fined for unauthorised work, not just the contractor.
Get the scope in writing (which trees, how much to take off, and who removes the waste and grinds the stump), and never pay in full before the work is finished.
