Has done a bit for me, has converted a garage to storage and also an extension, about 18 months ago. Went all smoothly, highly recommend. Easy to deal with. Really happy. Great communication.

Chris has undertaken a number of jobs for me in Central London, he is very easy to deal with, very reliable and good value for money. He keeps to his proposed times for carrying out work and he and his selected subcontractors are careful and produce high quality work. I would recommend Square Mile for residential building, maintenance and fit out works.

Chris and his team built a very nice kitchen extension for us a few years ago. We could not fault anything. The build was to a high standard and was completed in good time and on budget. The team were always very communicative and helpful and any issues were addressed appropriately. They were also open to any changes/modifications as necessary as we went along which was much appreciated. We love our new kitchen and I would highly recommend Square Mile Builders to anyone considering any building work. We got them back in again last year to replace our bathroom and again they did a nice job as expected.

SMB did an excellent job of doing a fairly comprehensive renovation of a flat which hadn't had the TLC it deserved in recent years. Chris and the team worked quickly and effectively, communicating well and also making suggestions of things that could be improved from the initial brief. Another key thing was that all of the neighbours had nothing but praise for the way they carried out the work and their courtesy. Snagging also dealt with punctually and very well. Really pleased to have worked with them.

We used the services of SMBL for renovating the external parts of our building (a Victorian 4-storey brick block)late 2021/early 2022. The works included facade improvements and installation of a brand new roof. Chris and his team were professional, reliable and responsive, and most of all very personable. Communication with them was smooth and frictionless throughout. And they came across as honest professionals; something that is a somewhat rare commodity in the industry. Some unforeseen extra costs did arise during the works, but they dealt with them in a fair and reasonable way. They never seemed out of their depth in dealing with the various aspects of the project. I would definitely recommend them and will go back to them for future construction work.

When my flat roof was damaged in poor weather, Chris returned my call within the hour and a competitive quote a day later. Work was due to start three days later but with continuing bad weather Chris and his team left me a water-tight temporary fix until work could be resumed. Throughout I was kept informed and found him and his team prompt, polite, knowledgeable and hardworking. Will be using again.

Chris and his team have carried out work for us for the past 20 years. From smaller projects such as internal decorating, through to three complex complete renovation projects, SMB has always delivered high quality work and exceptional service. We first used Chris for a project to renovate our house in 2000, and have never been disappointed with his work. He communicates well, and always goes above and beyond the call of duty. He has a good eye, and makes design suggestions that we may not of thought of, and is committed to delivering a high standard of work, all while maintaining a good relationship with his client. He is reliable and has integrity, and I have always felt confident and in safe hands when he is heading up a project for us. Essentially, he is very solutions-focussed, always presenting answers to building issues, rather than problems. We have recommended Chris on several occasions, and in each case, he has produced excellent work, working with architects chosen by the client where necessary, and seamlessly managing suppliers. Chris is an exceptional project manager, and this extends to the completion side of the project. He deals with any snagging quickly and effectively, and is always responsive to questions and issue which may arise. He is a pleasure to work with.

The Square Mile team were co- ordinated, operated as a well-oiled team of professionals, efficient and fast and much appreciated from my point of view they cleaned up all the debris and mess as a result of their work. Very happy to recommend them.
