Started a job and never finished it. Was happy to take the money but due to lack of work a refund was never given. Lies after lies, excuse after excuse. Once turned up at 5am (?!). Avoid at all costs. House was left in an awful state, as was garden due to ruble and waste not being disposed of. Bathroom plumbed incorrectly, expanding foam used to fit a sink! AVOID
Totally unreliable. Not even finished the work. Had all the money. Don't enploy. Had load of chances but still ketp not turning up. DO NOT ENPLOY.
I contacted Stoke Damp Proofing Specialists on the 31st October to arrange a visit to look at what needs doing at the property and to provide a quote. We agreed on the 21st November at 5pm. This was a 5 hour round trip for me through the snow and no one showed up. I left a voicemail and messaged, the message was read but i didnt receive a response. I thought maybe something had happened and thats why they no showed, so i left it a little while thinking i might get a message saying, were sorry x,y,z happened etc, but nope. I didnt hear a thing. Completely wasted my time.

Check they're a PCA member before you accept a damp-treatment quote.
Check the PCA registerGet an INDEPENDENT damp survey — not a free one from the firm that wants to sell you the treatment. A free survey has every incentive to diagnose expensive 'rising damp', when the problem is often condensation, a leak, or high ground level that needs no chemical injection.
Insist they identify and fix the underlying CAUSE — a leak, blocked airbricks, poor ventilation, failed pointing — before agreeing to an injected damp-proof course, and ask them to explain why simpler fixes won't work.
Get the diagnosis and an itemised quote in writing, and be wary of pressure to sign on the spot for a long 'guarantee' that is only worth anything while that firm is still trading.
