Whether in listed buildings, period homes, castles, or heritage projects, our aim is to breathe new life into historic joinery—always respecting the original craftsmanship and materials. We work with Douglas fir, hardwoods, and traditional linseed oil paints, and we restore or replicate every element: pulleys, ropes, weights, glazing, sills, and putty. From careful removal and workshop repairs to full reinstatement and draught-proofing upgrades, we deliver durable, authentic results that last for generations. Alongside our window work, we are proud to offer lime plastering, lime pointing, and traditional wall repairs using breathable, heritage-appropriate materials and techniques. These services are especially important for maintaining the health of old buildings and ensuring proper moisture movement in stone and lime-built walls. How we work: We believe in doing things properly—which means taking our time, choosing the right materials, and never cutting corners. All work is carefully scheduled to allow for natural drying times (especially with linseed paints and lime mortars), and we always communicate clearly with our clients about timelines, repairs, and finishing options.
