This is the 2nd time we've called Richard at The Lock Doctors for help with a stiff lock (not his fault that the ground is moving - and the last time was a couple of years ago) - both times he's been great - was able to make a quick appointment, turned up on time, sorted the problem and explained what was causing it. Very happy to recommend him.

I needed a lock fixed on an internal window and The Lock Doctors was recommended to me. Richard was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He couldn't fix the issue straight away, despite trying, and needed to order a part. He secured the window in the meanwhile, communicated really well and soon returned with the part and fixed it. Very reasonably priced and good to know a reliable company should I have similar issues again.

Richard changed the cylinder on the external door lock. Communication was really good from first contact to finish. The actual job on the agreed day was done very quickly and efficiently. A good company to deal with.

Following my initial call, Richard and Paul were able to respond the next day. They came at the appointed time and assessed the problem - a lock on a uPVC double door had jammed in the unlocked position. They took they lock mechanism apart, worked out what was going wrong, corrected the problem, reassembled the mechanism, attached it to the door and checked everything was working OK. As an added bonus, they realigned the pair of doors. The work was carried out swiftly in a professional and friendly manner and in my view the charge was very reasonable. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Richard asked me to make a video and send it to him so he had an idea of the problem in advance. He came prepared and had the part needed to repair my multipoint front door lock quickly and without fuss. He explained what he was doing and was clear about the pricing when I booked him, so there were no surprises on the day. I would highly recommend him.

I went to open the door after a long day at work and I soon realised I had put the wrong key in the lock. As I had turned it slightly the key was stuck in the barrel. Thank goodness I already had the number for The Lockdoctor. I made a call and spoke to Richard. I told him what happened and he was soon on the way. On arrival, Richard made a quick assessment. Within minutes Richard sorted the problem out and I was able to enter my home. The Lock Doctor gave a very efficient and timely service and the price was reasonable.

I booked Richard to change the locks on a flat that I was moving into. He was professional, friendly and helpful. Communication was easy beforehand. When he arrived, he provided clear and thoughtful advice on options for locks, and then installed them with care. Highly recommend.

Richard is a really nice guy and he did a brilliant job on our 17 year old upvc front door, which we had stopped using because it was getting hard to open and shut. He came round quickly, investigated the problem, and replaced only the parts that needed replacing. He also adjusted the door frame and hinges. The door now works perfectly. His charge was extremely reasonable. We highly recommend him.
