Door Hanging Thomas came today and started the 1 door hanging at 1pm He charges £30 per hour and said it shouldn't take too long, so I took the old door off for him and arranged the new door, hinges, handle and lock ready for him before he arrived. I was Hoping 1 door hanging would be a Max 2 hours job. 3 Hours later he finished the door. He hung the door well. BUT then damaged the door while fitting the handle and lock. He put white filler to cover the whole/gap he made and said painting will hide it. On the reserve side of the door by the handle he made a 8 cm crack line !!! He wanted £90 for 1 door hanging even with the damages he made. Then said he would take £80. I am Not Impressed by a carpenter with 8 years of experience to damage a door as above. He left all the mess on the stairs by the door and only did a quick tidy up in the room. I trusted My builder to have competent Trades People......
