I got in touch with Joe about re-pointing several external walls, before we started on the inside of the house we bought. They worked on the original 1600s wall and the Victorian extension which was built up of stone. The team did a really great job and Joe even replaced my mum's watering can, which was used by mistake, like for like, which I think is worth mentioning although minor, Joe was more than happy to make sure it was put right. Steve on the building side also installed a French drain for us to help with damp prevention and John did a very good job with the pastering inside my husband's study. The team made the walls sound proof, installed a stud wall in order to do so, and used lime plaster (as well as standard on the stud wall). The team also removed chipboard wall paper and patched up the walls in our hall and Steve even dug up some ground for our future veg patch whilst the digger was here. They did a great job, v professional, v thorough. Thank you.

Full 3 Bed barn conversion (inc replacement of 1 wall) The Wells team are excellent - after our prior experience with builder on a large project was terrible but Joe and Steve have restored our faith that there are still great builders out there! Really nice guys to have onsite, honest, care about the quality of their work, knowledgeable and proactive. Will 100% be using them again.

Demolish and removal of small shed Joe arrived on time and did a professional job. The work was completed as requested and the area left clean and tidy. I would strongly recommend him and his company. I have already ask him to look at a number of other building jobs I wish him to complete.

Replace plinth above front door Really pleased with the work Joe and the team carried out. It was fairly priced, carried out on time and the overall finish is flawless. I’ll be using this company again for future renovation work.

Repair mortar on stone cottage Joe and his team repointed and steam-cleaned my stone cottage. They raked out old failing cement mortar and repointed in a lime. The finished result is high quality and looks terrific. The team were punctual, careful, friendly, and were flexible in accommodating a few additions to the project. Very happy, and would definitely use again.

Remove window and replace with patio doors Job was done, although had to wait ages from confirming the job to getting the doors ordered then another age before the doors arrived and a date was confirmed - if you are expecting a sense of urgency then don’t bother. Messy finish which I had to ask to be tidied up but was done but to be honest I shouldn’t have had to ask as it was an obvious mess. Worst of all - the plaster on the inside has become saggy with air trapped under the plaster. I contacted Joe several times to make him aware but he just ignores me and refuses to sort out the issue. It’s not the first time either. He dis some other work in my house and I had some issues with doors sticking in frames but again when I contacted him he ignored me and refused to sort out the problem. I’m still waiting on Joe getting back to me to sort out the issue with the plaster but I’m not holding my breath. I wouldn’t use his services again and if you read this then please just be careful before you hire him to do any work.
