"A very unhelpful and rude engineer serviced the boiler and told us that it was unsafe. With no explanations he just cut things off, including the gas fire, despite telling us that this would still work. A different engineer fitted the new boiler. He was not able to sort out the electrical side and left a box of live wires covered only by gaffer tape, with the reassurance that an electrician would be sent to fix this the next day. 4 days later with daily phone calls we're still waiting for this to be made safe, and they are denying any knowledge of it. Their customer service is appalling."

Valve and controller had been a perennial 'weakest link' in the system; previous visits by more junior 24/7 and BG technicians only replaced the controller when it was clear that the controller motor was working too hard (then overheating) to open the valve. In terms of value for money, the 24/7 offering is far superior"
