Highlights
"A1 replaced the leaking asbestos roof on my double garage/ workshop/ wood store outbuilding. I found their service excellent and the work was very well done. They scaffolded out the whole building which was done to a very high standard. The asbestos removal swiftly followed and was done very professionally and with the minimum of fuss and mess. The new profiled metal roof followed the day after and completed the next. The scaffold was removed and the final rubbish clearing was also done very promptly. In all, a very professional job, well coordinated between the different trades."

What to check before you hire
Roofing isn't licensed, so anyone can set up - and it's a trade with more than its share of cowboys. A big re-roof must meet building regulations; CompetentRoofer (the Government-authorised NFRC scheme) registers roofers who can self-certify that, and vets and inspects them at least twice a year. Check they're on it before you hire.
