I was quoted £98 plus Vat for the first half hour, to come out and diagnose the problem. The problem with my hot water was diagnosed within 15 mins of arrival, but the engineer then chose to chat with me for 20mins, to eek out the time so that he was “on the job” for over half an hour, thus meaning he could charge me £186 plus VAT, for no labour, just a diagnosis. Absolutely disgusting. Management were finally spoken to after 6 calls, and were happy to receive payment that was totally unjust. Scam comes to mind! My advice would be don’t touch this company with a barge pole!

When the plumber arrived he found out what the fault was and got on with the job, he was polite and cleared up afterwards.

A rude Plummer from Woodford builders was sent to my house - he took two pictures and said he could do the work but if he did it would cost me a lot. He then charged me 169 pounds for the visit and no work done- and no OAP discount as promised. I paid as I was scared and just wanted him out of my house. He gave me no receipt and no name and the wrong diagnosis as I later found out. I was left with nothing fixed and water still dripping through the electrics in my ceiling. I hope that no one else encounters this behaviour. Totally unimpressed.
