"Booking was efficient and visit arranged promptly. Engineer was very pleasant, patient and persistent when a problem arose. I would certainly recommend this service."

"Very impressed with the experience, particularly as I had chosen and bought my own boiler, the installation went smoothly, commissioning became difficult due to a fault with the boiler I had bought requiring me to get under the guarantee the manufacturer out. What was reassuring is the manufacturer's visit was monitored by a supervisor and he commented on how impressed he was with Breeze quality of work, a tidy installation. Breeze had to come back to commission the job as a result of the manufacturer's fault. Highly recommended as extremely accommodating and helpful. Full marks for good job."

Agree the call-out fee, the hourly or fixed rate, and whether parts are charged on top — in writing — before an emergency plumber starts. Out-of-hours overcharging and 'while I'm here' add-ons are common complaints.

Be wary of a plumber who, on a first visit, says your whole system or boiler must be replaced — get a second opinion and an itemised quote (parts and labour separately) before agreeing to major work.
