Highlights

"Got the job done no messing about as well as asking for additional fault finding which he was happy to do."

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

"Paul has undertaken several small electrical jobs for me over the last few months. He always sends an invoice with everything itemised and the total price before he undertakes the work, so there is no hidden surprises! He is a very friendly guy and trustworthy. He remains my first port of call for anything electrical and I would highly recommend him; no job is too small (I have found that many companies say this, but when it comes down to it, they don’t want the work)."

Paul made contact in the morning to advise he could attend later in the day. Kept me updated until he could give an exact ETA Identified that one of the lights had shorted. Quick fix and resolved promptly. Very happy.

Electrical work in homes in England & Wales should be done by a registered competent person who can self-certify it meets the Part P safety rules. Check they're on the official register.

Check the electrical register
In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
