Replace lawn and pave part of garden Jed started the job like a house on fire however he lost labour half way through and was unable to find anyone and did most of it himself. He is a very pleasant chap but frankly his planning of the works was inadequate. He underordered materials when the job started to take too long started to cut corners (e.g. he quoted to dig a drainage channel but then informed me he didn’t think it was necessary because of the amount of topsoil replacing the clay) and it took effort to keep him working to the quote. The topsoil was insufficient in quantity and as this was all during heavy rains the ground was not well prepared before he started laying the turf. Ended up with badly levelled areas and the edging was very poor. I ended up spending lots of hours putting it right and when I texted him about the problems of turf sinking he didn’t even honour me with a response. Avoid!
