Cars now gets huge wheel spin and shingle is overflowing outside our driveway. I have had to have the work completely redone by someone else at great expense. The contractor argues he did what I asked for, I shouldn’t have used 10mm pea shingle and the problems come from me choosing that. He quoted me another £1585 to redo it. I have had someone else come out to look at the results and he said “It’s not good, I don’t know why they’ve done it like that”. He agreed 20mm is better for driveways, but told me that the drive was dug out far too deep and the shingle was then laid on far too thick.
The guys done a great job within a minutes notice. They worked really hard and didn’t rush the job even though it was Saturday. Great housekeeping and the area was left neat and tidy. Good work.
