A UK government-approved registration body for electricians and other building-trades installers. NAPIT-registered installers can self-certify notifiable work under the Building Regulations.
The definitive, real-time source is the official register. Verify any number here: NAPIT official register (opens in new tab).
How to check a NAPIT number
- Open the official NAPIT register (linked above).
- Enter the napit membership number (or search by business name).
- Check the name and status shown match the trader who quoted you.
- If nothing matches, do not assume the worst. The number may be mistyped or listed under a slightly different name. Ask the trader before you decide.
We track 208 traders with a NAPIT entry in our public data. see the NAPIT directory.
