“Our kitchen and bathroom were both looking tired and needed refreshing. Additionally, we had a problem with the bath which had lead to a leak. Andy found the issues and explained them all very clearly. He was keen to liaise with us to explain any options and ensure he was completing the job to our satisfaction. Everything was left clean and tidy each day. Very happy with the finished results - so much so that we have already rebooked him for some further work later this year.”
“A complete refurbishment of our cloakroom was needed. We luckily struck gold in finding Andy - a true perfectionist. He helped us with ideas that we would not have thought of and he has left us with a beautiful new cloakroom which is better than we had even dreamt of. “Andy changed my bath from a fitted one to a much smaller free standing one. Not as easy a job as I first thought it would be. Andy explained everything to me and gave me options about the tiles as I could not match the original tiles up so had to make decisions on how it would look with mismatched tiles. He checked everything with me and I could not be happier with the finished result. Even spent quite a while just agreeing the exact position of the bath. He was very thorough in everything he did especially dealing with the tiles and the new bath that did not behave itself. I am so happy with the work done. The new bath is amazing the bathroom looks so much nicer and he fixed a leak in the toilet cistern as well. I would definitely recommend Andy.”

BATHROOM RENOVATION At the start of the project, Andy made it clear that this would not be a quick job and it soon became apparent that he was very invested in the project and was meticulous in his attention to detail. He called us up each time he found an issue and explained clearly what the problem was and what our options were moving forward. At no time were we unclear as to what he was doing and why he was doing it. He ensured that at all times we had a functioning toilet and either a bath or a shower we could use. He never made an arbitrary decision and would always give us the options and go with our choice (even if it was possibly not the one he would have gone with himself). Finally, the standard of the work was exemplary and we are delighted with the finished bathroom.
Very pleased with the service provided by Andy. A thorough assessment upfront coupled with well-informed advice laid the foundation for an efficient turnaround. His solution was more convenient, more cost-effective and more comprehensive than the solutions proposed by alternative contractors we had previously engaged. Would have no hesitation to recommend.
Andy replaced an old bathroom for us. He is a knowledgeable plumber and his standard of work is excellent. He solves any unseen problems and issues with minimum fuss. He was prompt, reliable, honest and easy to deal with. Made useful suggestions and ideas we incorporated as we went through the work. His pricing is clear. Andy works part-time (9.00am - 3.00pm Monday to Friday) so a job will take longer than other plumbers but he was up front before we started and it was ok with us as we have another bathroom. Would highly recommend. Thank you Andy.
We were delighted that Andy was able to come back to work on two of our bedrooms, having previously had him do our bathroom and loos. There was a range of issues to address (some only discovered as Andy got underway) which Andy approached in his usual thorough way. He did a fantastic job of making a bespoke windowsill, replacing a hideous plastic sectioned one with a single piece curved shallow sill, and sourced a curved radiator to match. He was also able to work around my chemo appointments at no charge and managed the work to minimise disruption. Always cheerful and up for a pun or two, even our Spaniel was happy to see him each day. We're already lining up work for early next year!
Andy is an outstanding tradesman. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Andy was with us for almost 3 months replacing our bathroom and two WCs. His attention to detail was exemplary, and much of the extended time was due to the rectifying of previous fitters' substandard work. At every stage, Andy explained issues and potential solutions, and at no point did he push for more expensive or unnecessary options. Andy was on time and always cheerful and it was a pleasure to have him in our home. The outcomes were better than we had envisaged (love the niches!) and Andy seemed to get genuine pleasure from the results, too. We would wholeheartedly recommend Andy to others and will certainly call on his skills and expertise in future.
We are absolutely delighted with the work Andy has done for us. He has completed a full refit of our en-suite bathroom and he has upgraded much of the main bathroom and another en-suite. The 3 rooms have been completely transformed. Andy clearly takes pride in his work and consequently his attention to detail is first class. No corners were cut, he involved us in every decision and he was a pleasure to have in our home. He was truly professional, his timekeeping was excellent and he is a very trustworthy person. The finished result is amazing and we can’t thank Andy enough. We would 100% recommend his services to anyone and would certainly employ him to do more work for us in the future. Thanks Andy👍🏻
Andy has just completed the renovation of our bathroom to an extremely high standard. It was a fairly big and complicated job, but he is a perfectionist and all the problems he encountered with our bathroom (as he said) made the job more interesting ! We would recommend him to any of our friends and family who were looking to have their bathroom renovated. He is hard working, completely trustworthy and never cuts corners. He is also a pleasure to have working in the house. Thank you Andy.
We had been wanting to completely change our bathroom for a long time so started researching for a local builder who could make our dream bathroom. Choosing ALG renovations was the best choice we made. Andy made our bathroom exactly as we had imagined and designed. His work was to a high standard and very precise. Complete upgrade of 1930’s original bath, basin and lead pipes. I planned to squeeze in a bigger bath and a corner shower and purchased all the fixtures and fittings then chose Andy from the reviews on TrustATrader. Andy found that the walls weren’t truly vertical, the distances between the opposite walls didn’t match and floor sagged in the middle. He loves a challenge, fixed all these problems and kept me informed of available options at every stage of the upgrade. I hadn’t allowed for the width of the new insulation panels when planning for the basin but Andy sorted it. In addition to installing the bath etc and tiling, Andy replaced all the pipe work, rehinged the door on the opposite side, painted the walls and ceiling and replaced the flooring. He made a very useful suggestion about the lighting which I hadn’t considered. I am absolutely delighted with my new bathroom. He has subsequently replaced the hot water cylinder and separate toilet, decorated and fitted new floor tiles.
Andy did our bathroom, good ideas, good price, honest. Recommended him to my mum who’s having her bathroom done by him next month.
Andy is a skilled tradesman in many skills. Pays great attention to detail, and is able to offer very good advice. Discusses all aspects if the work with the customer and is his own greatest critic. Reliable, trustworthy, and proud of his work. He has made a cracking job of my bathroom, and I can unhesitatingly recommend him.
It was time I updated the bathroom in my house and wasn't sure who to go with. I had visited the usual hughstreet bathroom stores and obtained advice but when I did my research online, I came across ALG Renovations. I contacted Andrew and immediately got a response followed by a visit that evening. Andrew was very professional and clear with regards to what needed to be done before the bathroom could be fitted. During the time he was here working on the bathroom, he was on time and delivered what he had promised. I'm really happy with my bathroom and with all the work he has done. During the work, Andrew came across many challenges due to the build of the property but never saw this as an issue and found the most effective and cost efficient way of overcoming the issues. I would recommend him to my friends. I recently had problems with my shower (my fault rather than the design really) and contacted Andrew. He was more than happy to come around and fix it for me. I valued that.
Andy's work is top class and he goes the extra mile to make sure the job is done to a high standard. If you want your bathroom refurbed, call him !
